Weighing 24.78 carats, this rare diamond of pink color stands as the 10th most expensive jewel in the world. Described to be the “one of the best diamonds ever discovered,” the Graff Pink was made into a stunning ring with two colorless diamonds weighing 1.73 and 1.67 carats on both sides.

The rare diamond was once owned by American jeweler Harry Winston. Decades later, it was sold by auctioneers in Sotheby’s Geneva to British diamond dealer Laurence Graff for $46 million, making it the most expensive jewel ever sold in an auction at that time.

Discovered in South Africa in 2014, this vivid-blue diamond, weighing 12.03 carats, is recognized to be one of the most expensive in the world. In 2015, Hong Kong billionaire and property tycoon Joseph Lau bought the ring at a Sotheby’s auction for a staggering $48.4 million for his 7-year-old daughter. From there, he immediately renamed the Blue Diamond as the ‘Blue Moon of Josephine.’

Formerly known as Karowe AK6 or as Quad 1, the Lesedi La Rona Diamond stands as the largest rough diamond to be found in more than a century. It is also the second-largest gem of quality, with a whopping 1,109 carats. The gem was uncovered by Canada’s Lucara Diamond Corp. in 2015 at the Karowe mine in Botswana. It was named Lesedi La Rona, which translates to “Our Light” in Botswana’s Tswana language.

In 2017, London-based jewelry company Graff Diamonds bought the uncut diamond for $53 million. 18 months later, the company unveiled the first 60-plus finished stones from the 1,109-carat rough.

Created by luxury jeweler Mouawad and priced at $55 million, the L’Incomparable Diamond Necklace currently stands as one of the most valuable necklaces in the world. 

The prized item holds a 407.48-carat deep-yellow internally lawless diamond, which was discovered by a young girl in the 1980s in a pile of mining rubble. The central diamond was attached to a rose gold chain that follows a leaf-like pattern and is embedded with 99 white diamonds of 230 carats.

Weighing 14.62 carats, this rectangular-shaped, vivid blue diamond was named after its previous owner Sir Philip Oppenheimer, former chairman of De Beers Mining Company’s diamond-marketing cartel.

Also known to by the name ‘the gem of gems’, the blue diamond was set in a ring adorned by two smaller trapeze-shaped diamonds. In 2016, the gem was bought at Christie’s auction in Switzerland for $57.5 million.

Considered to be one of the most expensive gems in the world, this 59.6-carat oval mixed-cut diamond was originally extracted from a rough diamond weighing 132.5 carats found in the mines of DeBeers in Africa. It was considered to be the largest “internally flawless, fancy vivid pink” diamond to ever be graded by the GIA.

In April 2017, the diamond was bought at a Sotheby’s auction house in Hong Kong by Chow Tai Fook Enterprises, a Hong Kong conglomerate, at $71.2 million.

Unearthed in an Indian mine in the 1600s, this 31.06-carat blue diamond is known for its flawless clarity and unique blue hue that makes it one of the rarest of gems ever discovered. The item was rumored to be previously owned by King Philip IV of Spain and has remained to be embedded in the Austrian and Bavarian crown jewels for years.

It was first bought by the founder of Graff Diamonds, Laurence Graff, for $22 million in 2008. Soon, after recutting and polishing the gem, it was sold in 2011 at a staggering $80 million to a member of the Qatari royal family.

Weighing 383.4 carats, A Heritage in Bloom exhibits 600 pink diamonds, 114 icy-green jadeites, 72 white-mutton jades, and 19 divine-colorless diamonds. The item features a careful and sophisticated design that features symbolic figures such as bats and butterflies.

It was commissioned by Hong Kong-based jewelry retail giant Chow Tai Fook at $200 million and took over 47,000 hours to be completed.
